WHO CAN JOIN

MEMBERSHIP:

To join the Association, simply fill out this form or download an application form Membership Application, print the application form, complete your details and email to [email protected] or mail the form to 2RAR Association, PO Box 2352 Idalia Qld 4811.

CURRENT MEMBERS

You can pay your membership fees online through PayPal or square as well.  To do this go to "merchandise" and click on the membership icon, then follow the prompts.  You can pay up to 5 years in advance at $20.00 per year

WHO IS ELIGIBLE TO BECOME A MEMBER:

Ex-members of 66 Bn AMF, 2RAR, 2/4RAR and serving members of 2RAR. Membership may include those of Corps, other than the Royal Australian Infantry Corps, eligible by Service with 2RAR and includes all or any ‘members of supporting arms or philanthropic organisations attached to 2RAR from time to time’ (including 2RAR MTF-3).

Ex-service persons who have served with “Sister Battalions” of The Royal Australian Regiment, or persons currently serving, or will in future serve, with “Sister Battalions”, in any theatre of operations including Korea, Malaya, Borneo, Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Rwanda, East Timor, Solomon Islands, Iraq, Timor Leste, Afghanistan or any future theatre of operations.

Any direct relative of a person killed in action, died of wounds, or died from illness, in any theatre of operations while serving with 2RAR, and who would have been eligible for membership of the Association; such relatives to include spouse/partner, mother, father, brother, sister, children or grandchildren of such deceased person.

WHY SHOULD I JOIN:

Here’s few reasons why we think you should join us:

  • Reconnect with and refresh army mateship
  • Make new friends with a common history i.e. service in 2RAR
  • Rekindle the camaraderie resulting from previous service in 2RAR
  • The Association provides the opportunity to become involved in assisting other veterans in various ways.
  • Contribute to and assist in the maintenance of the history of 2RAR
  • Get the latest news on what’s happening inside and outside the battalion.

FAMILIES:

The 2RAR Association constitution allows for families of deceased members and current members to become Associate members.

  • Gain a better understanding of the ‘mateship’ that is the basis of military service.
  • Experience the warmth and compassion of the 2RAR family.
  • Meet other past members of 2RAR who have served with the family member.

MEMBERSHIP PROCESS:

  1. Complete the application online. * Indicates mandatory fields.
  2. 'Submit'
  3. Deposit the membership fee into the 2 RAR Association Bank account details provided on the invoice. The Reference field is to include the first three letters of surname and the invoice number. (ie MR123)
  4. When payment is confirmed, a receipt will be sent by email.
  5. Committee will then vote member into the Association and the Membership member will provide a membership pack to the member
  6. If unable to complete application online download an application form, complete and email back to [email protected] or via mail:

FEES:

Please check your membership and confirm details each financial year. This keeps us from accidentally sending emails to an old address or to someone who may have left life's parade ground. It is also a data privacy requirement. Everyone must do it, even if they are Life Members.

Membership to the 2RAR Association is $20 per year or you can pay for additional years up to $100 for 5 years. A renewal notice gets sent to members whose membership is up for renewal each September with our FY commencing from 01 Oct.
