0830 – March – to ANZAC Park via Gold Coast Highway (Veterans ONLY)
0900 – Service at ANZAC Park, Broadwater Parklands, Southport
This year’s Commemorative Address segment will highlight the creation of ANZAC history when 2RAR became a part of the 1st ANZAC Btn since WW1. Which itself was a significant event for those veterans who were a part of it.
Vietnam Veteran, Mr Kevin Lloyd-Thomas (A Coy 2RAR 1st Tour) has been a huge influence in getting this event of the ground with the Support of the Southport RSL Sub Branch.
The Commemorative Service is set to commence from 0900 and is expected to see overwhelming support from the community upwards of over 20,000 people to this service.
For those veterans in the region; the 2RAR Association encourages all members and their families to come along to this event so as to pay our respects to all soldiers past and present.
The 2RAR Association unfortunately won’t have an official banner to march behind, but if you are in the region please still come along.
Second To None.
